The first thing to note about this amazing coffee is that it is a peaberry! Now that might not mean anything to you, and if that is the case you need to be sure to tune in to our social medias and watch our LIVE STREAM this Tuesday as we talk about and demonstrate the significance of peaberry coffees. But until then, all you need to know is that peaberry coffee beans are INCREDIBLE. Typically, two beans will form within each coffee cherry, but in a peaberry only one bean fully develops. As a result, peaberry beans are actually round, unlike your standard coffee bean. This difference in growth and shape affects how the beans roast, and also how they taste, and let’s just say the result is an amazing cup of coffee.

Every coffee has a home, and the environment within that home affects the taste of the coffee in massive ways. To put it simply, a coffee grown in the desert will taste completely different than a coffee grown in a jungle. In the same way, a coffee grown in rich soil will taste different than a coffee grown in poor soil. This is why the home of our Astronaut Blend is so important.

The Astronaut Blend is grown along the edge of the tallest mountain in Africa, Kilimanjaro. This mountain offers elevation, shade, nutrition, and an incredible taste to this coffee.

There is so much to explore...

This coffee is roasted until just as the sugars in the beans start to carmelize. It is such a rich and naturally sweet coffee that is incredibly uniform and clean. The coffee has hints of cherry and dark pomegranate all within a smooth and mildly acidic cup. We absolutely love this bean and it is definitely a fan favorite. You can pick up a bag at
